Will I be asked to attend any additional appointments beyond my regularly scheduled doctor’s visits?
No, all research visits coincide with your regularly scheduled doctor’s appointments. We will not ask you to schedule any extra research appointments.
Why am I being approached to participate in this study?
We are approaching you about participation because you are less than seventeen weeks pregnant and are a patient of our clinic. We recruit individuals in Mount Sinai antenatal clinics who meet the study’s inclusion criteria.
If I participate in the study, will I need to spend extra time in clinic on the day of my appointment? Will my appointment take longer than usual?
No. We recognize your time is valuable, and we will not ask you to come in early or stay late on the day of your regularly scheduled appointment.
How long will it take to complete the questionnaires?
We expect the three lifestyle questionnaires to take between 30 and 45 minutes, and the diet history questionnaire to take 45 minutes.
