Melina Alledavood

Melina is undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo, studying Honours Biology with a Computing minor. She joined the team through her co-op program as a research assistant for the Ontario Birth Study, where she supports data entry, data collection, and patient recruitment for research. Melina hopes to pursue a future career in clinical research, and is excited to explore various research topics in pregnancy health and fetal wellbeing. 

Melina first began her career in healthcare as a co-op student in 2023 at Cortellucci Vaughan Hospital, where she supported both patients and staff in the in-patient surgery unit. She than continued her journey in healthcare by becoming a volunteer at Mackenzie Health and spending her summer working at the Mackenzie Health Foundation. In her spare time, Melina enjoys reading, swimming, and trying out new coffee shops.
